Had some noisy people in the neighbor rooms. It looked like they gathered in the room next door, 2 or 3 people, and talked and laughed loudly until late and woke up early in the morning to make more noise...

What was the highlight of Tivoli Coimbra Hotel
Thomar is a delightful little town, with good railway connections. Good choice of restaurants.
The hotel is a former Convent, situate on the banks of a river. The architect who drew up the design must have had a very difficult task, as in several places he/she used sloping ramps to connect adjacent spaces. However these ramps are wheel-chair friendly. The Dining Room is the former central courtyard/cloister, now roofed in, and with numerous instructive wall panels of portraits and histories of the Knight Templars, who owned the castle on the hill above the town. (It would have been nice if a translation in English was provided). The catering staff were friendly and helpful, and the food selection was also good. Our room had a view over the town towards the Knight Templar castle on the hill top.
The Internet was slow, particularly at breakfast time, and in the early evening, when many people log on.

Nice Hotel, good parking on-site, decent buffet breakfast.
The guy running the bar in the afternoon / evening was very surly. All the other staff were very pleasant.
